Keep your Piano playing and sounding like new

Our Services

Standard Tuning
$200.00

Tuning a piano involves adjusting the string tension to ensure that the musical intervals between each note are in tune, typically aiming for a modified version of equal temperament. This service usually takes between an hour and two hours.

Pitch Raise
$100.00

Sometimes, after a very long time without tuning, a piano will fall so far out of tune that it will need a pitch correction. This involves (most often) adding additional tension to the strings and allowing the instrument to relax and settle at the new pitch. This requires one to two extra tunings with a follow up tuning three to six months afterwards to insure stability in the instrument. This service is in addition to a standard tuning.

Voicing and Regulation
$700.00

Regulation is the process of making sure that the piano “action” (the moving components inside the piano) are at the optimum performance level to ensure even and fluid playability in the instrument. There are hundreds of adjustments and over ten thousand moving parts inside a piano that each need to be adjusted to critical tolerances to be able to respond to your playing.

Voicing is the act of adjusting the piano’s hammers to change the tone and ensure an even sound across the keyboard. With time and patience the piano technician can change the tone of a piano to match what a player desires, whether that be a bright punchy sound, or a warm intimate tone.

Note, this is priced at $100 per hour, full regulations and voicings usually take around 7 hours
